About us

MJ-AK is a non-profit organization that helps people in Pakistan who are struggling to pay for essential needs such as medical bills, education expenses, and utility bills. Our goal is to provide a stopgap for those in need and give them the necessary support to get back on their feet. Additionally, we offer scholarships for young children to receive a better education and have a brighter future. Our team is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those in our community.

How we work

We work with individuals and their families who we have independently assessed. The main criteria that they must meet to be eligible, is that their income must be below the living wage in Pakistan. The case is then evaluated on an individual basis. If they qualify and depending on funds available, we offer assistance (outside education) that is on a three month limited time period. The time limit is meant to help them get back on their feet, which we also try to assist them with.

For medical emergencies we have four doctor founding members who review each case on an individual basis to ensure correct diagnosis and treatments with the medical team looking after the patient.

There is no cash in hand transfers, we strictly do digital only transfers to ensure tracking of all funds.

All are funds are from donations and grants. So without your help, we can not function. So please give generously.

If you wish to donate to the scholarship fund, then please let us know, as that will require a pledge of funding a Childs for at least a year. We match children and donors based on the funds pledged and school fees (schools are assessed to ensure a proper education is being received before funding). Currently there are many families who have now fallen below the living wage as the interest rates have soared but salaries remained stagnant. These parents are no longer able to afford to pay their children's school fees.
